'95Before launching UEM in 2003, I served as president and CEO of IDG World Expo, growing it from two to more than eighty employees and establishing it as one of the world's largest and most innovative high tech tradeshow companies.
'95We developed and successfully launched a new line of global vertically-focused IT events, including Macworld, LinuxWorld Conference & Expo and Bio-ITWorld Conference & Expo.
'95Within five years, IDG World Expo had 168 tradeshows and conferences around the world.
'95As a subsidiary of the $1 billion IDG parent company, IDG World Expo bacame the second largest revenue and profit producer.
'95Many of the shows we launched and produced are "Mega-Events" in the high technolgy industry today.

'95I founded the company in 1985 as a brand new, wholly-owned subsidiary of International Data Group (IDG).
'95During the eight years as CEO, the company grew to become the most significant word in the information technology industry for the financial community.
'95Its clients represented most of the Wall Street firms.
'95The company went global quickly and still enjoys success today as a part of IDG's research companies.

'95During my first four years at IDG, my responsibilites were to assist IDC's entry into the financial markets. At that time, IDC was not a recognized entity in the financial community.
'95As Vice President, I launched a number of new consulting services which were all well recieved by Wall Street.
'95This success led to the my becoming president of a new launch; IDC Financial Services in 1985. It was during this time that my responsibilities began to cross-over into what was left of IDG's international tradeshow business.
'95While I was experiencing great success with my subsidiary, IDG World Expo was closing down. By 1992, it was gone.
'95By 1996, I was called upon to launch a new tradeshow company.
