The Power of Passion – Love What You Do

With Love comes Motivation

Discover why it’s important to be happy with the career choices you make.

A popular American comedian once told his audience, “If you have a job, great, but I really hope you get a career someday.” Now, you can define a career any way you want, but in the end it’s something that makes you happy. You might even say that having a career is like following your dream. The reason why this comedian loves his career, which he also shares with his audience, is because there aren’t enough hours in the day. He is having too much fun to fit it all in to a typical 8 or 9 hour schedule. People who don’t have the pleasure of working that dream job will feel the exact opposite. For them 8 hours feel like an eternity.

The Natural Effects of Enjoying your Career Choice

When you love what you do then you are in endless supply of motivation. You’ll be happy to wake up in the morning and you’ll feel satisfied when you go to sleep. These are the natural consequences of loving your job or career. But it also seems to change your perspective in terms of compensation. Money doesn’t play such a big part in your life when you have the opportunity to enjoy every single day you spend with passion. Think about it for a second. How many hours do you dedicate to punching the clock? In many cases you bring the work home with you, especially in the back of your mind. Now imagine how depressed you’ll feel if you have to force yourself to get through your working hours, five days a week. It’s not going to be a pleasant picture and you will never really be proud of yourself.

Following the Passion

If you have yet to find something that you love to do, then there is no better time to start than the present. Update your resume, get the necessary qualifications and meet the right people. Whether you believe it or not, you are in control of loving what you do. It’s your choice whether you want to wake up with a smile on your face or a headache that never goes away. The passion to challenge yourself when it comes to your dream job will drive you forward, helping you to constantly reach new heights.

By the way, the popular comedian mentioned earlier is none other than Mr. Chris Rock.
