If you want to find a new job or get into your first job, chances are you need a resume. There are many ways to develop a personalized resume but one tool we’d like to discuss here is the resume builder.
A resume builder is a handy program or tool which helps you to develop a resume quickly and effectively. It is typically structured such that you are asked questions which you respond to. For example it may ask you to fill in blanks which ask for information about previous employers, duties, responsibilities, etc. Other questions may ask for information concerning your educational background.
Anyway once you fill in this information, the tool compiles the info and puts it into a well structured and organized resume. Depending on your preferences, the resume can be organized as a chronological resume. In this format, your employment history and other key events are listed chronologically (ie in date order).
The other major type is a functional resume. In this format, your overall roles, responsibilities, and accomplishments are organized and listed based on their subject matter and type. So instead of listing the previous jobs you held, it may instead list what you have done and have you accomplished it without regard the specific company involved and the dates you worked there.
In any case a resume builder helps you to organize the information you’d like to include on your resume and allow it to be presented on a resume in an attractive and effective manner. It can make creating a resume much easier.
