Free Resume Creator

Whenever you are looking for a new job, getting started on your resume is the hardest part. Once you have a resume, it is simply a matter of sending it to prospective employers. Luckily, with our resume creator, we make the first step easy.

We have created an easy to use Wizard to completely create your resume for you. You simply enter your qualifications and other information and the wizard does the rest. You are even allowed to omit sections that you do not want displayed, such as your age, and choose your own template and colors.

Creating Your Resume

After signing up with your email address, you can simply follow the steps in the wizard. Each step of the way is automatically saved to your account, so if you need to sign out and get more information, you can do so without losing any of your work. You can also save your work to your account on various steps along the way.

Begin by entering your personal information. Based on the template you choose, we will format it appropriately. You do not have to worry about font styles or sizes. This is simply your name, email address, phone number, etc. You also want to include your objective statement in this area. Sell yourself as best you can in 3-4 sentences. At the bottom of this portion of the wizard you are able to decide whether you want to have a public or private resume, and if you want your resume to show up in relevant searches made by potential employers.

Your next step is to enter your work history. You can enter the companies, positions, city/state, and dates; we’ll do all the rest. If you have a significant number of different jobs, you can omit the least relevant ones, or those you held for a short period. If you have any questions about with ones are the best to include, feel free to shoot us an email.

The third step is to enter your education history. There are aspects of this form that you can ignore, such as your graduation date, if you are afraid of age discrimination. Other than that, you should certainly complete this section fully. Many companies require very specific education qualifications, so it is best to be upfront about yours. It is not worth wasting your time or theirs if you are not actually fully qualified.

The next section is about your skills and interests. Feel free to enter a little something about your interests, just to provide a glimpse of your personality to potential employers. People often want to make sure that the person they hire is someone they wouldn’t mind spending a good chunk of time with. This is your chance to show that you are positive and friendly to be around.

Filling in your achievements is the final step. Any relevant information or achievements outside of your job descriptions should find its way to this section. We like to have these listed in bullet format for easy reading. This is just for bonus information that might make you seem well rounded; you can leave this portion blank if you’d prefer.

As you move through the wizard, clicking “Go To The Next Step” automatically saves your progress. Each section also has a spell check at the bottom to help you along.

After completing your resume you can view it in a separate window and save it to your account. You can always go back and update portions as aspects of your life change. After completion, you are allowed 14 days to decide if you would like to create a membership and use that resume or not.
